I bought a pair of these for my 97 about 4 months ago (see earlier post). I couldn't be happier. They handle super well. I am running them on the back only for now (I had already bought new steer tires). When they wear out, if i'm still happy with them, I will be buying them for for all 4 wheels. I have about 5k on the tires and they still look brand new. Still have the little nipples on them. WHEN YOU ORDER YOUR TIRES... make sure to specify the casing type you want. Do NOT get Nitto casings unless you are driving a jeep or very light small truck. They have softer sidewalls and will cause your truck to sway really badly... even when changing lanes. I had this issue and Treadwright replaced them free of charge under warranty. They sent two new tires and I didn't even have to pay shipping. I got Toyo casings and the handling is MUCH MUCH better. Treadwright has a lifetime customer here.

 

Not all Nittos have a soft sidewall. I just put a set of Nitto 285/75x17E Durra Grapplers on my rig and they have a very stiff sidewall. I wanted a stiff sidewall for the reasons you mentioned and these have it. Only stiffer pickup tire sidewall I have seen is on my PW with 8R19.5 load range F tires. The Nittos also have a 3970 lb weight rating and they are made in the USA. Mine now drives as well as almost anything I have owned.

 

I never thought id say this ive been a Treadwright distributor for 3 years i thought they were the best since sliced bread. But now ive seen more casing failures than ever.probly about 40% of what i sold. Just recently my good friend also our sheriff was heading up i-25 had a sidwall blow out at 75mphcausingffdp the tread to separate and trash his front left fender and lost control of his truck and went into the divider cable on the freeway.all with his wife and 2 young sons.no one was hurt.i will never sel a retread again im taking mine off as well.im sorry if i steered anyone in the direction of buying them.

309,000 miles and still doing great they have maybe 1/2 or a little more tread left. they dont leak and they wear good even though i need a allignmen. Im sorry to hear about your bad experiance baddodges I think you were the one who convinced me to get treadwrights. So im verry happy

Just curious, when you say they only have half tread, is this just for the front tires that are out of alignment? How much do you expect the alignment to be costing you on treadwear? I'm considering a pair of 19.5s from them, but if the treadwear is only 30-40k, then it might make more sense to go with a new tire that can get 70-80k.

Just caught this "test". I've been runnig thier tires for about 15 years never a problem. From agressive mud tires to all-terrrain what ever these are great for the money!! only wish they did car sizes too
