what size tires and who makes em
so i just bought an 03 7.3 with a 6 inch super lift and 36s. im guessin that will clear 37s with minimal rub.
my biggest problem is its got 16.5" wheels so i dont know who to look at that has a tire in 36-38 on a 16.5
any help would be awesome
thanks

Good Luck... I have 16.5's on now and after shopping and not getting much help with them, i decided to just get new rims and tires... This way i wouldn't be battling the same issue later on down the road... I was told it might take two weeks or longer to get four of them in a 35x12.5, so i can imagine even longer wait or not finding something bigger such as 36-38... Don't mean to dampen your optimisim, but you might want a back up plan such as this... hope you find them!

im looking for an mean a/t or a light to mild m/t on my other truck ive got trail grapps and thats the style im looking for
like dmax said i cant find anythin except Parnelli Jones and boggers so im probly gunna up to a 17" wheel. the truck came with these wheels so its no big loss to me if i take em off and sell them or better yet slap a set of boggers on them for some weekend wheeling

I would agree completely. tires have already gone off the charts on costs and wheels are too. So get a set of wheels now and save those tires/wheels for a winter set or something. for tires a couple of my friends have had pro comp xats. They wear well and have good traction. The set I just bought is kelly safari tsrs. I think they are a very mean lookin at tire. Im not sure if they come in a size big enough for you though. 4 wheel parts lets you look up tire sizes. ntwonline.com usually has sales on oversized mickey and dick cepek tires. Just a couple places to look. The only tires that are fairly aggressive that i can think of that come in a 16.5 would be groundhawgs or super swampers. If you are still gonna keep the 16.5s.

Militery tires are the way to go if you keep the 16.5 rims there cheap and pretty aggresive

They are nice. Not too loud and hook up pretty well in mud. They do suck in snow/ice. Hard *** compound but for the price its hard to beat. Also, mounting them on a 10" wheel is a PITA. I finally paid a tire shop I don't frequent to blast them on. It took 4 guys an hour and a half with a cheetah to do all 4. Didn't want to make my preffered tire shop hate me.
