I would think any of the big name all-terrains would be decent choices, just look for an E load rating, and be honest with yourself on what you need the tire to do, if you only drive on the highway, then some of the popular a/t's may even be a little more aggresive than what you need. Around my area, the BFGoodrich a/t, and Mastercraft Couser C/T seem to be popular, but they could even be a bit more aggresive than you want. Hope this helps

I sell alot of 285/75r16 truck tires in my area. My customers have had good luck w/ mastercraft ct and at-2, but as of late the NITTO TERRA GRAPPLER seems to be real popular and holding up well. The nice thing about the nitto is that the 285/75r16 is available in a 8ply or a 10 ply and not many tire co. offer a 10 ply 285/75r16 if you need it.

michelins are what all the grandpas run around here, and they seem to last forever. not an aggressive tire though.

i have ran michalins and like stated before they wear well but offer little in aggressive tread. i switched to 285/75/16 hankook m/ts they wore horrible and did not hold up, less then a year on my abusive driving habits. i then purchased the hankook dynapro atm all-terrains and they are by far a great tire they have an agressive look even more so then the nittos wear very well if rotated normally and have great traction. they dont hold rocks like the m/ts either. first set has a little over 40k on them and even tread all around at roughly 60%. just bought another 4 of them today for my other truck.
