Default Tire opinions

Hey guys. I have been thinkin about gettin tires for my baby, a gasser, 1995 Ford Bronco. I basically want a good all around tire. I do travel a lot of gravel and dirt roads. I also travel a lot of asphalt. I like all terrains but I like a more aggressive design. I do traverse snow up to 1 foot deep when a hard winter hits, usually nothing deeper than 6 inches and some ice. It rains a lot in south central Illinois. So wet performance is needed too. With this wet performance also comes some mud which is not very common but does happen on occasion.

I have been lookin at the tires mentioned on the tire threads. I like the looks of the courser cts and the cooper stts. I really like the big o xt tires. I need a good tire that will last quite awhile at a good price. I dont want a full mud tire though so the stts are out unfortunately. Unless I am convinced otherwise, probably wouldnt be too hard.

I would just like opinions on what you run or have ran in the past. maybe some pics to see how aggressive lookin the tires are.

Thanks in advance guys and gals,

Josh aka Trapper

well DM what do you think about them cts in gravel? that's pretty much my biggest concern. I mean the snow/ice and rain conditions too but I do travel down a lot of gravel when my truck is dirty, which is a lot of the time ha. I got a set of chapparal aps on there now which have lasted me along time, almost 5 years. They were just a cheap decent lookin AT tire, 450 installed. I dont get to drive my truck as much as I would like . It's on its last leg, needs a rebuild and some tlc.

good to hear. maybe I will go with those cts after all. They are quite a bit cheaper than the Big Os I was lookin at and the STTs. Do you know the cheapest place to get a set of 31 10.5 15s?
