Money lower a 4x4

Most of the time when you hear of someone changing their vehicle height we are talking about jacking it up and putting some ridicules sized tires on. Yes, we all know at least one guy running 40s.

Honestly I'd like to lower the truck about 2 inches, anyone do this?

Why do folks want to jack up a perfectly good truck and put silly *** tires on, I'm clueless.

I really like the truck and hate feeling like I need a parachute to get out. I want to haller "Air borne" or something when I get out. Maybe I should just get some really Fn ugly low profile tires, then maybe not.

I'd go for a trade, but it is going to have to wait. The 01 is paid for and I'm really digging the payment right now.

Mostly just asking.

Uh, ok...Im sure its been done by someone.

I guess I dont understand because I prefer lifted trucks. I think these trucks should come from the factory with 315's on them. JMO.

I also know of a guy on a few other sites, duke1n, who lowered his 4wd with different front coils and taking the lift blocks out of the back I believe.

It would be nice to have the look of a lowered 2wd with the traction of a 4x4 out of the hole on the track.

Yes, I agree they should have bigger tires. 315s would be good, I'd like to see them actually use the wheel well.

You gotta be kiddin me, if someone "needs" a taller truck is has to be a tall lanky guy like Adam Heck, he even may need a sun roof in a Ram to be able to wear a hat I need a lift/lower that will compensate for my low round center of gravity. I'm gonna have to give him a call.

sure i see it done a good bit... like what was said different coils up front and remove the blocks out of the rear. that is the cheap way out. there are companies that do make kits for 4wd trucks. i would assume that you will need to shorten you driveshafts...pick up a sport truck magazine there is bound to be info and prices in there...
