Level Kit Questions
I have 2001 Dodge 2500 QC 8ft bed 4x4 Dana 80 rear NV4500 etc... and I want to get a level kit. I have been looking at Kore, Carli, Lorenz, etc... and want to know if one is better than the other and what I need, if any, to do to the rear end when adding the kit up front. The prices seem close with Kore and Lorenz but Carli is way up there. I just drive the truck for fun, mostly street and not a lot of towing, a little offroad here and there. If i get the level kit form one of these guys do I need to get the matching kit for the rear? If so why and which one? I just want to do it the better way and get the RAKE out of the stance of my truck. Also, if I do this do I need to get an adjustable track bar, DSS brace, and any thing else to keep the factory geometry and ride? I really am not looking at rebuilding the entire front end right now and my truck is driving great so I don't want to F it up either. Any opinions are appreicated. Thanks

You could go with a cheap daystar leveling kit it will give you about 2.5 inches in the front then go have an alighnment done It will only run you about 125 bucks and you dont have to mess with the back unless your rear springs are just wore the hell out.And it is fairly easy to install about 1.5 hours

Hey fellas-
I have a 98.5 2500 2wd and am putting on a Daystar 1.5" leveling kit with a longer set of Daystar Scorpion shocks.
The instructions go into having to remove basically the entire wheel assembly-----
I wouldnt think all this was needed to just install a plastic spacer on the coil spring and change shocks... Any advice or direction here???
Also will I need to get my truck alligned again?

well i have a 1999 ctd 4x4 and i got my leveling kit from ROUGH COUNTRY lifts and i was a easy install! and leveled my truck out perfect!!! so i dont know if u already bought your Daystar kit yet but if not i highly recomend ROUGH COUNTRY. but back 2 your Q. i dont know alot about Daystar and never put 1 on a truck b4 and i dont know if its diferent 4 a 2wheel drive one.but on mine i had to take out the shock cone theres a bolt on the top of the shock i took that off took out the cone and old shock and then i took out the 3bolts on top of the spring holder thing and then put my ROUGH COUNTRY kit in put it all back together and i was done i did get shocks thats a must! heres a BIG tip use a spring compressor its so much easier! thats a long story short kinda but its not all that hard! sorry 4 the long respond.

Duplindiesel, i have a 1999 2500 ctd and got my kit from ROUGH COUNTRY suspention 4 99.95$ and it was not hard 2 put on and is a 2.5 kit and it leveled my truck out perfect! i didnt do any thing with the rear but i do have air ride in the rear but that shouldnt matter. it maintains the factory ride 2. but u should get new shocks prob. i hope this helped. by the way u can fit 35.12.50s on with no rubbing or cutting mine r on my stock rims!
