Its about time for some new tires, and Ive been thinking about a set of 33/12.50 16 Trxus STS. Anybody have experience with these tires? They will be goin on 16x8 MT classic rims just to give an idea of what everything will look like.

The truxus tires are great play tires, they will take you places in the mud and snow in 2wd that other tires won't go in 4wd but the wear sucks big time on em. 15,000 and mine were bald as slicks.

What are you lookin for out of these tires, is this road runner or mudder truck. If I could still use em with my wheels I would never use anything again other then the Toyo M55 commercial tires. They wore great, handled snow and mud like any off road tire and were quiet on the road.

Keep in mind that the aggressive tread off road tires have a trade off. The more aggressive the tread the less miles they will last.

Yes, but were they talking about using this tire on a 3/4 ton diesel truck or on a Jeep??? There is a big difference. I wouldnt hesitate to use them on my 4 runner but not on my 3/4 tons. I know that the soft compound in these tires just wouldnt wear well under that kind of weight. JMO FWIW.

which ones you talking about?the truxxus radials that look like tsl's or the truxxus sts's that are radials or bias?the ones like tsl tread dont last on anything heavier than a 1/2 ton truck.the sts's are ok in the sand but useless on any other use
