x2 ...

Just make sure you keep some distance of down travel between your upper control arm and frame stop (about 3/4") so the ride doesn't suck. Also I read you are looking for a new shock, make sure yoiu get a shock that will allow for full suspension travel so that also doesn't hinder your ride.

285's will look a ton better on your truck

yes a shock that allows for full travel is a must, i forgot where i seen it but some guys shock got ripped in half from the suspension over extending.

285's are a perfect fit

the h2 ones wont fit because of the rear axle sticking out, i would need to run a spacer to run the hummer caps.

and the chevy caps... well i lost one mudding a long time ago so i only have 3 of them

i do plan on leveling out the truck and adding a one inch block on the rear to lift it. i have before and after measurements of the truck from switching from 285/75/r16 to 315/70/r17

one measurement i can remember off the top of my head was the transmission crossmember on the bottom of the truck went from 9.5 inches to 10.75

the crossmember is the lowest part of the frame and mine is all tore up from running over crap.
