Default Air Suspension.....

who is running it??? front or rear or both, im not talking the big retard lift kits, im talking factory height stuff.....im looking at air shackle and air leaf setups......not air bags on top of the axle

im looking at the Kelderman air shackle setup for my 1st gens rear, its fairly good priced for the setup.....

2-Bag Rear KLM11375 - 1993 & Older - Dodge - Truck - Air Ride Suspension Systems - Kelderman Manufacturing

does anyone make a airleaf setup for trucks?? Air Lift used too but from what i understand they discontinued it......

also is anyone running the air bag setup on the front or rear of their 2nd gen.....

It's probably not what your looking for but I have air with the leaf springs on the back of my truck. I took one 12 inch air bag and built a frame off of the axle to set it on. On top I put a tube down off of my fifth wheel plate. It has a self adjuster for loads to keep the same ride height. On the leafs I cut the back part of the bottom two leafs off to get the ride softer. It works, a lot better ride and holds any load I put on it. I can drive my s-220 bobcat all the way up to the neck and it squats and comes right back up to ride height.
It was the easiest way I could see to get a good ride and have load capacity both. It may not be for everyone but it works for me. I'm planning on airbags for the front as soon as I sell some extra parts laying around.

AND ITS PAYED FOR......and if i buy a new one im going to do the same thing to it.....for 1400 bucks its worth it.......why not have a truck that i like and want instead of a electrical nightmare.....

if it wasnt for the pulling rules id run a 4 link rear with bags and the air bags in the front of my 2nd gen.........

what i dont understand is that a 4 link for a 2500 chevy is 4200 bucks......4 link kit with DUAL airbags for a 4500 chevy is 3000........

the system eleminates the shackle......so when you have the bags aired tight towing something heavy it relys on the springs and bags, when you have no load the truck, all your relying on is how much air is in the bag.......

if you take springs out you lower your weight holding capacity for one, and number two, the air bags that go on top of your axle do nothing for empty ride, the air shackle does though, plus i think they look cheesy......
