Default Tire Sealants

Anyone have any experience with any flat tire goop or stuff to run in your tires in the event you ever get a puncture.

My tires are nail magnets and can find a nail within 50 feet of it.

I saw this stuff: Ride-On ® | Tire Protection System and want to know if anyone has any comments.

Why would I have to pay extra... they say this stuff just washes out with water and isn't the sticky gluey stuff.

I dunno bud, its been alot of years, but back when I was in highschool we used to charge alot more, and sometimes refused to work on tires with liquid sealant in them. Like I said, that was uh... like several years ago though. It was the fix-flat crap and the green goo back then. It would adhere itself to the rim and make it nearly impossible to balance..

I am trying to decide if I should use some of this too. I have a nice nail staring at me that I thought was a rock stuck (CLICK, CLICK, CLICK) for a couple days. Hopefully it holds out until I get the new skins in a couple weeks.

Are you thinking about adding Ride-On ® | Tire Protection System this stuff in your tires? I'd like to find someone that has tried this stuff. I think it is supposed to be different from all of the other stuff that is just goop.

If you decide to, let us know how you like it.

the reason for the extra charge with the tire sealants is gotta clean up the rim, the tire and dispose of the crap after it comes out
can`t just wash it down the sewer
we get at least 5 to 10 tires with some sort of sealant in them, the city would blow a gasket if it was washed into the sewers.
Sorry but have never seen any of these things actually work
just pick up a plug kit that`ll get ya an extra day or two if ya hit a nail or two

I use the slime in all my trailer and tractor tires and it is great. I have tires that were totally flat, pulled the nails and put in a bottle of it and tey have held air for years now.

Don't know if i would use it at highway speeds though.

I know down in Texas and the southwest a lot of utility companies use the Pink stuff, don't remember the name of it. It seals the holes they get from the big ole thorns they drive over daily.

X2 on a plug kit, but unless the plug starts to leak I don't have them patched.
