I think I'm going to finally give this a try. I'm sick of dealing with fling-off, I mean tape-on weights.
The ether bead seating does work but you gotta be quick and have a hose ready because the tire can catch fire.
A lot of the truck tires are wide enough that they'll bead if you remove the valve stem core and shoot a good blast of air in there. You can modify tire chucks so they supply constant air. You'll want some kind of 1/4 turn valve on the air line though.
If you're doing enough tires then it might be worthwhile to buy one of those air tank bead blasters like Cheetah makes. Those will seat a bead on damn near any car or truck tire with ease. Cheetah Bead Seater

How hard do you suppose it would be to mount toyo mt's in the driveway? We used to mount all kinds of tires when I was growing up on the farm, but that's been 15 years and I'm sure they weren't nearly as heavy duty as these.

I ordered some stainless steel "beads" there a bit cheaper. My MTs ride great I put the right weight in bags and gave them to the tire guy. I have to make sure my valve stems are down and tap on them when I check the tire PSI or the "beads" will jam the core open. I keep a removal tool just in case.

we use em on everything at the shop from stubborn 14 inch tire to skidder tires

My beads came in today and got them installed. I will tell you that installing through the valve stem is a suckass deal. It took me almost 2 hours to get all 4 tires done. I had to remove them from the truck to get the beads to flow better. I ran my tie rod bit into a 4x4 block and then ran that on the sidewall to create the vibration to keep the beads moving.
