Default 2 broken rear shock mounts question

94 suburban k2500 broke both rear upper shock mounts (holes in sheet metal) tore apart, leaving no where to install shocks. Several places such as partsgeek offer shock mounts, they look like they bolt into frame. Mine did not have removable shock mount, nor did it have threaded holes, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if they are something I can buy, drill/tap holes, and install, or is this just some models were made with these parts. Im trying to avoid costly weld job in unfortunate county for auto work.

Google 1994 gmc 2500 shock mounts to see pictures.
