After market control arms are not working out
Hey guys I bought some " pure muscle" control arms 1/2" over stock for my 2001 cummins , the problem is that on the upper control arm the new bushing in them seem to have a bigger sleeve in them then the stock ones had. The bolt that was originally on the truck is about 1/2" and the sleeve inside diameter seems to be 5/8" . Is this normal ? Seems to have to much play

Re: aftermarket arms are not working out.
You should get ahold of who sold you these arms and see if they are possibly the wrong ones. If they are the right ones, You Cannot run them with that much of a size difference. I would recommend finding metal thin wall pipe or tubing that will fit in the bushing sleeve and OE bolt will go into and cut them to length, their strength is of no concern because they are only a spacer and the sleeve that came with the arms takes all of the stress once it is all tightened down! Hope this helps some.
