Even the backspacing/offset worked out dead nuts! This is 4 1/2" backspace and a 0 offset.

Looks great but it's way to clean, not even any exhaust soot on the bumper. Wait till you step it up, your gonna be cleanin the black off every day.

I'm looking forward to the 5", it'll be reminiscent of my 67 Camaro ... now that was loud! I used to wake everyone in the house when I started it :w2: off course, I had to park her in the garage. :duh3:

I told you balancing beads are awesome....did you get the tire shop to install them? Didnt think it would be a big deal for you because of your location...but for anyone in a cold climate, its best to use nitrogen or very dry air with beads to avoid clumping. I have a little filter assembly that I bought for like $10....just to try to get some of the moisture out of the air from my compressor at home.

And the best part, they are only a few bucks and work for just about any sized tire (of course the bigger the tire, the more beads youll need).

The beads cost me around $60 shipped ... well worth it. I included the filter style valves, so that the beads do not interfere when you check the tire pressure.

I had them installed at the tire store. It was funny watching all the guys standing around discussing the beads before the install. Once they were done, the owner had to take the truck for a ride. He came back, pulled up to the rear door, where one of his employees ran around the truck with a torque wrench and checked the lug nuts. He was sitting in the driver's seat laughing, talking to his employee, presumably about the beads. When he gave me the truck back, I asked him if the beads worked. Again, he started to laugh and shake his head saying, "I guess, there was absolutely no vibration."

I guess they'll be talking about it again tomorrow!

I meant to ask this before, but where the hell do you find someone who'll reset the tire size to your speedo? I'd like to see what the true result is from the tire upgrade. The way it is now, I'm chewing through fuel like nothing else. I'm below 1/2 a tank right now and the trip meter shows I've gone 206 miles.

It's a dealer re-flash or find somebody with a Smarty that will let you borrow it for a few minutes. Withy my 33 inch diameter tires I had a 1/10mile differance in the miles on the odometer. So for every 10 miles I got 1 free. Hope I'm explaining that right. And at 60mph I was going 65. I used mileage markers on the highway and a stop watch to come up with these equations.
