Default best tire size for rim.

I'm looking at getting eagle alloy 058 17x10 inch rims the wieght rating according to their website is 3420 lbs. And I'm sick of my 18x9 cause the offset is so bad my 33's rub with a 3"-4" lift. And these have a 4.5 inch back spacing so I'm hoping i can go up to a 35 without rub.. and be easier to buy tires for.. I was wondering if a 35x12.50x 17 would be a good tire width and size for that rim.. thanks for advice

12.50 would be ideal for a 10 inch rim, you could probably go to 13.50 if you wanted to.

You could easily put a set of 35x12.50s on your truck

Well with my current offset of rims I can only fit 305/60r18's which is bout a 33x11.5-12 n it kinda annoys me... But I gotta find a different rim now since eagle alloy quit make the 058 in a 17x10 they only make it in a 17x8 with a 5.0 backspacing and thats not quite enough offset for me.. i want off set so the the rims are even with my fender flares and I like a wider stance truck.. and i want 35x12.50 ya I may suffer mpg but in my opinion my truck would look extremely retarded with narrower tires...
