What do you guys think is the best Dana axle? I'll be producing around 700+ horsepower and the truck will mainly be used for pulling a trailer every weekend?

I've heard a lot of good out of the 80's. Has anybody ever used super 60s?

At 700hp your going to need an 80. The pinion is the weak point in the 70 and you would have the same problem with any variation of a d60 that still used a 60 r&p.

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

What about a 110 axle from a 4500/f450? Quite a few gear ratios available as well from aftermarket and dana. They are a square tube axle with a 12.something R&P. Should take the abuse. Only thing would be they are dually axles with 10lugs or large 8 lugs, so that could be a problem. Definitely not as cheap as an 80 conversion, but a lot heavier built.
