Default Tire Speed Ratings

Should one be worried about such things or are they more of a suggestion, cause Ive looked Into slick but bot too many can hold the weight of our trucks.

For drag racing I wouldn't get too worried about speed ratings because you would only be exceeding the rating for a matter of seconds, but for extended periods of high speed driving I'd want to have the proper speed rating. Just my opinion, I'm not an expert on racing or passenger/LT tires.

I think most tires for our trucks are rated around 90-100 mph. Like tiremann said, as long as you're not holding those speeds for excessive amounts of time, it shouldnt be a problem.

Personally, if you're tires are only rated for say 98mph, and you trap @ 115, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
