Default How much HP to run 13's at 7600lbs?

I'm wondering what HP/TQ levels I need to be shooting for to make my 7600lb 4wd 12V truck run in the 13's? The details of engine build can come later, I just need to have a number of how much power to shoot for.

Thanks,
George

according to the HP calculator i have (and you can take this with a grain of salt) to run a 7600# truck at a 13.99 run it would take in theory ~550HP at the wheels and ~647HP at the crank.... to run 13.0 it would take in theory ~684HP at the wheels and ~807HP at the crank..... these numbers seem to be somewhat consistant when playing around with my truck's HP numbers and weight with the time i got off my G-tech..... but this is a guestimation and i know not what i am doing....

You are going to need about 460hp to run a 13.99, and about 560 to run 13.00. It does depend on how you are launching though. If you leave really soft, then add about 10hp. If you launch hard then subtract 10hp. For example at 565hp I was running 12.90's.

This should give you an idea though...

at 7300 lbs i ran 13.9's with 420 rwhp and 2.0 60's. I konw every beast is different but 450 hp outta get an extra 300 lbs into the 13's especially if you could get your 60's down into the 1.8's.

The 7600 lbs is actually a little above my "raceweight" anyway, as it was my weight when I went across the scales w/ a passenger, full tank and my tool box with probably a couple hundred pounds in there. My actual race weight would be closer to your 7300lbs I would imagine.

Thanks,
George

My 24 vlave ran 13.42 at 7500lbs and was only 454hp and 838tq.

I left the line at around 25-30lbs of boost.

In my 4x4 02 QC and a full tank of fuel I ran a 14.05 with 377 and 810. That was coming off the line with 10 psi of boost
