Default boosted launch

so what is really considered a boosted launch.
what do most guys launch at?
i know that it takes a good bit of throttle to even make one or two psi.
so my question is i have a stock trans maybe addign a vb to it and i have current mods in sig runnign on 70 hp settign . planning on going to the drag strip for mason dixon diesel day oct 24 and was thinking about running once or twice to get a time . if i didnt really built any boost but built up soem rpms to take away from lag would i hurt anything anymore than jumping on it from idle ??

I launch at 3-5psi sometimes 7 if the tires hold in 2wd. I have to mash the brakes to hold it back. But then again I have a 05 Dmax which is completely different. It can be hell on a stock TC. You should be fine to run a few passes.

20psi: got about 3' then 4 gears and 200+ft of painted pavement

line lock is the easiest but hold the accelerator to the floor with your heel and toes on the brake and start easing the clutch out till your desired boost then sidestep the clutch and firmly plant your foot all the way on the accelerator...........something should happen good or bad
