OMG! I never realized that one Vette being smacked down by a diesel truck would upset the entire Vette community. One guy said "truck would have to have 1000 HP", what a douche. And I guess the easiest thing in the world is to make horsepower out of a diesel. I remember street racing with my friends nova and whenever we beat someone they would always ask questions about what you had in the car. If I ever gave a truthful answer he would slap me upside the head when nobody was lookin. Learned to stretch the truth just enough real quick. In the world of drag or street racing the owner of the car is the only one to know the whole truth. BTW, nice PINK corvette!

That thread gave me a headache. I thought most newer vetts had to run high octane? If so, then their price for gas is more than diesel fuel. Or at least it is at the several fuel stations I drive past. Sounds to me like them vett boys over there are some whiners...LOL glad I'm on these boards instead.

Here in WyoTech country those things are all over the place. The thing to do seems to be to raise them as high as physically possible, put on gigantic stacks, and make them smoke like an industrial-revolution-era steel mill. I forgot to mention to make them loud. You can really hear the turbo when they spool up. Mostly they're completely ridiculous, but they do move surprisingly fast for such huge beasts.
bahahahahahaha....this is so hilarious...

and there's a slight amount of truth in there as well...

Agreed. In any competitive sport, never give away your winning secrets, but learn to tell great stories.
