CUT SHELLS

Looks pretty interesting and seems to be effective from what the video shows. I just dont know if the game wardens around me would buy off on that during deer season. Would be a cheaper alernative for any close range varmint or predator hunting where keeping the hide is not important vs spending $$$ on overpriced sabots.

Try it. Its a blast. I do it all the time. Was actually dove hunting this season when a coyote came out. Cut a shell right quick and threw it his way at about 85 yds. Hit right at his paws. Didn't get him but it was cool knowing that I improvised a shell and was only about 10 inches from ruining his day.
And they make nasty holes in washers, dryers, sinks, and hot water heaters. That was a fun day, I like shooting ****.

So the plastic sheathing comes off along with all the shot, and so it all travels together instead of pushing the shot out to scatter separately.
I wonder how the penetration would compare with a real slug? A bunch of shot bundled together in plastic couldn't be as penetrating as a solid mass of metal, I wouldn't think.
Might act like a hollow point from hell on soft tissue, though.

Stupid and dangerous...increased pressures, shoving the shotgun hull down the barrel...what's the choke do to it...other than compress it and increase pressures even more....the BLAM....gun blows up.....
However, if ya want to do it, video it...so they can play it at your funeral
Not to mention the Brenneke slug was invented in 1898....that's just a few years off from the old man 1931 in the video....
But hey, why let simple facts stand in your way....
