Default Henry Lever Action .22 Magnum

I've been looking at these for several weeks and love the look and feel of them. I'm wondering if anybody else here has one and would care to give me their opinion. I mainly want it for varmint and possibly a coyote here and there once I get my scope on it. Ive got a 12 gauge and 357 for anything else that may venture into the backyard, I just want something that I can target shoot with also.

I've been looking at them myself. I love lever-guns, octagon barrels and the .22 Mag ain't no sloutch! Me personally though, I'd keep the scope off and install a tang-mounted peep!

I'd love to buy the octagon barrel but I'm trying to stick to a budget . I backed out of a set of injectors to take on a couple other purchases. Looking at the 22 mag and upgrading a few things in the garage and finishing the remodel on the bathroom. Is the tang mounted peep something I can install and sight on myself and what's the cost of the peep? I'm actually not a fan of scopes I just wanted to reach out a little farther if needed.

I've been Looking at Marble's peep sights for my Savage 30GM Steven's Favorite in .22 Mag.
They're around 125 bucks or so. The link below is their catalog for their basic sight, along with an instructional video on how to mount them to a rifle. In this case, a Uberti 1873.

Bought me a 22 LR yesterday. Love this gun. Shoots straight and with the 100 or so rounds I put through it, it never missed a beat. Action is as smooth as I've ever seen. All around it's a sweet little gun. And the best part... The wife loves it too.
