desert eagle question

Default desert eagle question

im lookin at getting a desert eagle, a guy here has a .44 mag and im wanting to know if it can be converted to the .50. i know the rime size is the same on both rounds. so can i swap barels and mags and shoot .50?

The older DE no, the newer ones yes, but good luck find a 50 AE upper

so i would have to swap the whole upper. alright. well let me ask your opinion. this guys got a this DE for 900 bucks, excelent condition 2 mags, and shoulder and hip holster. do you think thats worth getting, or should i wait and try to find a .50 for a good price

For $900, and the price of getting a .50 upper, you're probably better off just waiting for a good deal on a .50. I had a buddy of mine get one for about $1200.

ya, i just checked it out, nice pistol. its the mrk 7. great condition. i told the guy id take, so hes holding it til next week. 44s cheaper to shoot than 50 anyways. thanks for the help guys.

TBH, I've fired both, and I prefer the .44. I can fire it for a lot longer before I say, alright, I'm done.

With the 44 MAGNUM, YOU'LL HAVE more ammo options, easier to find ammo, & cheaper ammo.

ya, i lied to you guys. its a mrk 1, older than i thought it was, but in great shape. i got some monies rounded up today and got her picked up.
