Question S&W M&P15

I'm looking at the "Sport" model. Its like the DPMS Sportical, no dust cover or external forward assist. Here's a link if you want to read the specs: Product: Model M&P15 Sport™

Just wondering if anyone here has an M&P15 and how they like it. I looked at a new one today, liked it much better than new DPMS Sportical and they were the same price at Sportsman's Warehouse...$599.99 + tax.

Ummmm no.....

Why go with a "sport" version...instead of one with M4 cutouts, chrome barrel, dust cover, look at the M&P AR15's that have not been fixed for sport reasons whatever those are.

S&W makes a really good AR15 if ya get a "real" one & not something bastardized...

You can find em used cheaper...or just keep looking around...

Because I'm not made of money...and I don't really NEED a top of the line rifle for my first AR. It would do until I can buy/build a better upper.

That's more than I make in a month.

And that one is worth more than my truck. Plus I want a flat top upper.
