I'm in the market for a new semiauto shotgun for hunting. I'm looking for opinions on some like Remington, Benelli, Browning and possibly Beretta. I don't care about non hunting shotguns so don't bother (gunman). I don't care about color or cosmetic crap like that. Just a good gun that will not fail out in the field. Requirements are 12ga, 2-3/4" to 3" and semiauto. So what say you?

 

New or used? If it was me I would go baretta or benelli. I love my
Beretta 303.

Reason? I'm asking because I want real world experience, not just brand loyalty. I will say the 1100 that was stolen from me served me well. I just figured I'd get the newest/greatest (if there is such a thing) I know that Remington reintroduced the 1100 a couple years back but I'm thinking one that'll shoot 3" as well as 2-3/4" will serve me better.

 

Beretta 391 or benelli super black eagle. Very reliable and will not beat the hell out of you.

What about the new Versa Max from Remington?

 

Benelli Extrema II is the tops! You need to check out the Browning Maxis also.
