anyone got an FFL
so im starting the process of getting my FFL and wanted to see if any of yall had one and had any recommendations to help speed up the process.
as it stands tomorrow im calling my county clerk about zoning laws, going to the sheriff's office to talk to them about any laws that may give me problems,
assuming all that works out im going to set up a home based business and a LLC and then get started on a pile of paperwork

now as i read about it i wasnt sure what that one does. does it just allow you to collect relics and older firearms
im going for my 07 FFL so i can be a dealer/manufacturer

03FFL is a C&R only. It allows you to ship C&R eligible firearms(50years or older)to your home. No business allowed, you cannot sale it after you buy it. It also allows you to by parts from say Midway at dealer discounts. So it basically pays for it self if you pay $30 for it and then by a scope from Midway USA for $30 off dealer discount.

I know several guys who tried to get a 07 FFL and all were denied......the feds want you to have a brick and mortar store..and not a kitchen table FFL... and are not approving very many home ffl's...

i think i might be able to get a home based FFL because i am establishing a LLC and a home based business which makes it appear that im in it to make money not just to get a dealer discount on things for myself. the biggest thing that ive heard is that if they think you are doing it with the main intention of getting guns cheaper for yourself then they will deny you.
so i think having the LLC a DBA an EIN and a business bank account i will stand a fighting chance

Around here home based FFL's are next to zero...
