Its the 270win, based off a necked down 30.03 case.

270 is a nice round, loud as hell but I prefer my 7mm rem mag for when you just have to reach out and touch "something" at a distance that is too great fot my ruger sr556

good ol .270win, ain't ever let me down. I shoot from 100gr to 150gr with that ol girl.

dammm i should have got that, seeing the 7.62x39/aka short 3.08/ right next to it you can see the size difference//

I can't bring myself to put her away for another high powered bolt gun. I shot the 100gr at hogs and coyotes before getting my AR. I just love that rifle!

Haha, a few years ago we took a old regulator structure and hung it in the fork of a water oak. Decked it with plywood and put a old couch up there. It was out in a 15 acre field and was just awesomeA storm came thru 2 years ago and split the oak out. That was the end of the sugar shack stand.

HAHA, sounds like our tree stands in WV. we have reclining seats out of diesel locomotives in them, full roofs on top., weather has to be real narly for us to call it early
