You bring up a great point though, fine motor skills get really hard to control under stress. Safety aside.... Studies show that statistically you wont be getting a great hit rate on what your shooting at when in a life and death situation. I want to say (and don't quote this) that on average its something like 40% hit rate at typical personal defence ranges... LIke I said, don't quote thatm I'm sure we can find the right number somewhere, thats just what seems to pop out to me as what I read.
Look how many rounds were fired here....

AFAIK Glocks can be had in anything from a 22LR to a 50AE also.

These a video of two CA cops shooting at a white van, the both unload their mags on it, nothing hits the van.

I shoot Glocks better then 1911's... I think its the grip angle, I'm used to the Glocks... I'm still easily MOP (Minute Of Person) with either.

I also shoot the H&K P9S & WALTHER P-88 deadly accurate
