Default wanting to find a hog hunt in the next week or so.

We are trying to get a hog hunt together for me and some of my friends. My bud is getting married so we are trying to do that for the bachelor party. Kinda different I know but we dont know that our bud would be down for the whole stripper thing ( not many good joints around us anyhow ) and we all like to hunt so just seeing if we can pull this off. weve got a place but the pigs are not as dense as we would lke them to be. We figure take our bud out and show him a good time with a good chance of killing something. If the hunting sucks we can always go somewhere new and paint the town red and chase some tail. Im in central tx but not opposed to driving a few hours to get to a good place. If anybody knows of any places that would be great. Thanks!

I havent had Razorback hog but if its anything like European Wild Boar its nothing like domestic pork. Wild boar is very dry and usually you have to cook it in a sauce or stew so its not so dry. I would imagine the American version is similar.

Sorry for the hijack but how do you guys cook it? Grilled? Smoked?

You can't go wrong turning it into sausage.

Ribs and sausage! Wild hogs (feral swine) are not the same as European boar. Wild hogs do have a good amount of fat on them.
