Yea I've shot the shortshells before. They're definitly fun to play with!
Hey has anyone every heard of putting rock salt in shells for a home made nonlethal self defense round?

Rock salt can be fun but nothin to put your life on the line with. To unpredictable on how it breaks apart through detonation and flight. They may get a full load or they may get a dust storm, you never know.

Well I head something about this a while back. Something like it was an option those who have strict laws or something. Hell around here the mayor totes a gun so it dont affect us.

A Saiga 12 is pretty sweet too. But I think the sound of actually chambering that 3" magnum on a pump is a great thing for home defense. There is no other sound like it.:yeah:

agreed on both parts, i love hearing it rack up, no other gun can make that same sound. my 870 tactial is chamber for both 2 3/4 and 3" but ive never ran 3 inchers simply cause ive got a huge stock pile of 2 3/4s , maybe something i oughta go and try
