Anybody ever done one?

I wish I could....never be able to afford that. My dad is thinking of going, turning 74 this year, not getting any younger....I told him to spend my inheritance and go play.

Just looking for info if anyone has done it or knows something about it......thanks in advance.

I found an outfit where a 5-10 day safari is about $5-7,500USD all inclusive, minus airfare and shipping to get your trophies home. You're allowed between 4 and 6 animals depending on what trip you pick, plus if you have a shot at something else it's only the tag fee which is like a couple hundred USD.

The "Big Five" are much more.....14 grand for a Cape Buffalo hunt... and that's the cheapest of the five....yikes.

Looks like it's not much more than a good Alaskan or Canadian bear/moose/caribou hunt actually...airfare is probably the worst part.

I think we can get him there and back all done for way under $15,000USD which is the budget we're working with. He's cashing in some CD's and selling a pickup truck to gain the funds.

I'd like to go with...it's between $1-2,000USD for an observer....plus airfare, can't swing that.
