In Ohio, I figured those people would be almost as fast as Californians to call the man on you. Please do something with your truck speed limit, PLEASE

Man where do you all live that you have to CARRY like that. Shoot I hardly even own any guns let alone carry one with me daily.

Oklahoma...and it don't matter where you are, the boogie man will find you.
I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Concealed carry is supposed to be just that... concealed. discreetly may not be enough, nobody should know you have it except for you. But I do agree with Chenry, judged rather than carried.

I am not passing judgement on anyone at all,so please dont anyone feel offended by my comment. Its just I find it sad that we have to feel the need to be safe in this manner. I can say for the most part I feel safe here and I dont leave home each day worrying about stuff like that. Maybe I am just too trusting.

I have had a gun pointed at me while in a traffic jam by a dude behind me who was having a bad day and i was in his way with no where to go, i had my 9mm high power under the seat and I grabbed it but didn't show it to him. I was more afraid of killing someone than being shot at to be honest about it. I managed to cahnge lanes over a couple times and put some distance between us and he passed me pointing his weapon and I was ready to unload 13 rounds through his back glass if he fired once but he did not. The cops picked him up 4 miles up the road after I called them.
I went home and threw my underwear in the garbage and poured a big tall stiff drink...

but when confronted by an armed man, I want to be prepared.....

1- can't speak for anyone else but i wasn't offended at all.

2- IMHO safety is an illusion. u'll feel ur safest just before u become a statistic.

3- when i get the finances squared away i'll be getting a permit and all the training i can get with it. i don't want to ever even have to draw my weapon, let alone shoot somebody but the world's full of lunatics and maniacs and i'm going to do my best to afford myself and my family all the protection, in as many forms as it comes in, that i can get my hands on.

I have to agree with Chenry and johnnychimpo, I have been in a situation where I might have been forced to shoot a man in order to save my wife's life. I was able to talk him down, but my right hand was stuffed with my taurus .45 behind my back. You can be safe 364 days out of the year without the need for a firearm, and need it just once for milliseconds in order to save yourself or someone you love. If I had called the police in my situation they could have gotten there in time to call an ambulance had it gone the wrong way. I hope I am never forced to use a firearm to defend myself, but I will more than likely have one if I need to.

People nowadays are crazy, you've got kids who think there gangsters, people on drugs who will do anything to get the $2 in your pocket so they can by more, crazy people in traffic jams. I like knowing I can defend myself or other innocent people should the situation ever arise. I sure hope it never does, but the fact is, "Guns save lives."
