I'd love an M14. I have a DPMS LR-308 that shoots great, no problems.

It's like "Pit Bull Mania" except now it's AR-15 Mania, and AK and SKS, etc...
Media and DHS has really made parts expensive and elusive. I've been trying to build a 300 AAC Whisper for about 6 months now and getting parts is SLOW!

My neighbor is in his mid 70's and taught me to reload years ago. I remember the Clinton\Feinstein ban, so I stocked up after 2004 when the ban ended.
I have 3 stripped lowers left to build, but upper parts are scarce right now.

BTW, I looked through all of the newbie FAQ's and couldn't find anything.
I need to find a source for a good diesel garage that will install the bullet proof kit in my '04 SD Crew 6.0 Powerstroke, any suggestions.
Oh yeah, I'm in Greenville SC. I don't mind traveling some to get it done at the right shop either.
Sorry for the thread hi-jack.

Gun retains 98% original finish. Excellent bore. Excellent glass bedded stock. Excellent working order. Comes with one standard GI magazine and sling. Pre-ban gun made around 1989-1990. Serial number is A005XXX
