Default My Daughter's 10/22

I just finished building a 10/22 for my 12yr old daughter. The barrel is a purple Tactical Solutions threaded barrel with a silver compensator. The stock is a Blackhawk Axiom and was dipped in muddy girl camo by Dynamic Finishes in Lee's Summit, MO. I also did a trigger job on it and it now has a very nice 3.64lb pull.

That's sick looking! I've always wanted a 10/22 and almost bought one when my Marlin M60 wore out.

10/22's are really good guns. I do agree, start her out on iron sights. I still have my first 22 a winchester model 70. Used to frog hunt and shoot accross the pond, if you do it just right and hit the water just in front of them they will fly out on the bank.

I can't focus on the irons anymore wish I could, it's amazing how far out you can hit if you shoot alot. Looking at the rifle, it probably doesn't have mounts for iron sights does it?

That's a wild looking 10/22 but all her friends will be envious of her 10/22

Thanks guys. Yeah there's no way to put iron sights on unless I drill and tap the barrel. She did start out on my old Marlin 880 bolt action with iron sights. Its too heavy for her to shoot offhand so I built the 10/22 as light as I could it only weighs 4.6lbs with a 10rd mag.
