Just get out there early and wait LOL! I know what your mean about the back braces, I had one for when my back was bad, too but Physical therapy helped that issue.

I tried physical therapy, injections, you name it for 6 months before they finally decided on a fusion. If I would have caught it allot earlier I could have had a Discogram and just clip the disc which is pretty painless and easy when its done with fiber optics and a little 1" incision. I ended up with a cut from my buttcrack to my shoulder blades straight through the back muscle.

All the work was to try and save my L4-L5 because it was almost repairable but it ended up blowing too.

The issue there is the weight of the rifle since my neurologist told me no more than 2lbs for the first month and then 7lbs for the 2nd month. I reckon my lawnmower with some Camo jackets and scent blockers galore will do the trick sitting under my hunting box that's way up in the air 10' X 10' 35-40' up and extremely braced and stable! Ill be back in that beast of a huntin box in a year and then ill be good! All that thing needs is heater and a toilet! It's already got a bench and seats and a built in aluminum ladder!

I will try to ride my powerchair out there tomorrow and get a picture, its nothing fancy but its normal wood and after the first few months the deer started to come back in, the biggest reason I made it so tall was to make sure any shot I take goes into the ground and doesn't ricochet and get out anywhere even though there's just pine tree farm behind my property I do everything possible to keep it safe for everyone.

Even a .22Lr can bounce off a rock and go flying in any direction, its all dirt/sand where I'm shooting down and will take any bullet i put into it at that height I'm really shooting down and it's much safer and my .270 will need a wood stock before I can shoot it again.

my Savage model 111 .270 ultralight is a great rifle but it kicks like a mule with that short barrel and a synthetic stock. I'm not whining or kidding, I can't handle the recoil or weight now but later on I can handle weight but I'm worried about that ultralight's recoil. A good heavy wood stock will fix that and if that isn't enough I will drill and put in a few lead weights in the buttstock.

And this is why I can't go back to the back of my property in the Power chair I have, it's a borrowed chair so I ain't gonna go back there again and chance tearing it up.

I finally got through and here is from down range.

Here is the front of the box

Here is the back

Wish I could make it up to show y'all the inside but I can't make it up there but there's where I used to hunt.

Wish I had one of those tank tracked chairs but they are $19,200+ but I reckon I will just let my buddies use the box, I can't walk through the rough terrain to get back there. Nice show piece I reckon.
