Can anyone tell me what Is the use of this?

Just seems like useless weight to me unless it does something i don't know about.

Those are for a Mossberg 702 tactical, Bassically a pos .22 disguised as a M16.
Atleast that's what the lower one is, the top one I'm not sure of the exact model firearm.

Yep.....better off to get a 22 conversion kit and some Black Dog Machine Magazines, thus you can train/shoot your AR and optics with the much cheaper .22 ammo....
