I hadn't updated my Smarty since early 08 and while helping STR-6, I noticed that a new update was available for mine. I downloaded everything and went to load it into the Smarty and it was going fine, then all of a sudden, I get an error on the PC that says error erasing Smarty. Now my Smarty just says MEMORY ERASED then says EMPTY MEMORY PLEASE UPDATE.
I figured maybe the download got corrupted, so I totally deleted it. ( I have software that gets rid of everything ) Then I downloaded it again and tried again with the same results. Any ideas?

 

Please update your smarty usb.exe to the new release and here is a link, all is well

i downloaded the REVO-TNT to my computer but when i try to download it to the smarty it says its not a smarty file, so i tried to just open the file and it says its a paint file and cant open it... what am i doing wrong???

i can get the revo one to extract and do everything but the TNT i cant extract... the revo file is 5,321KB and the TNT file is only 1,245KB (both before unzipped)... if that helps at all....

What and where can I get the cable needed to connect mine to the pc?

 

It's a standard USB printer cable...at least that's what the one I use is. Anywhere you can find computer stuff should have what you need.

multiple times. i can download the whole thing but when i try to unzip it it says it cannot open it as an archive

worked this time, and this time when i downloaded it the file was much larger... must have changed something on the website?? either way im happy now
