Its just a truck. I will miss it but it has given me allot of greif here recently and I wont miss that.

FWIW, that has nothing to do with a previous accident or repairs. It is a very common failure of the coupler between the vacuum pump and power steering pump.

When the coupler breaks (the loud pop you heard), the power steering pump quits turning. The power steering pump also provides the pressure to power the Hydroboost Brakes.

Did they give you a buy back for the totaled truck? It is usually around $500... You could part out they good stuff (engine, Tranny, ect) and get some $$$ towards a new truck or car.

You are not allowed to buy it back if you have a lean against it. They came $38 shy of paying it off and wouldnt just cover it ********.

so you owed the bank 38 bucks and they say it has a lein and wont sell it to you???? hmmmm......sounds fishy to me.....
