They Tried To Break In

Stupid people. Sorry about your truck Angie. I've had my house hit by paintballers twice in the past three weeks so I'm pretty po'ed right now myself. I was on the computer when I heard them hitting the house, ran outside barefooted and jumped the fence only two see the tailights in the distance. No damage but a real inconvience wiping off 12 pink splattered shots. Heaven help them if I ever catch them, not from me but by my wife.
Can you emagine what those kids parents would do if they knew their child did that... well these days probably nothing

yeah, no kidding, they would probably pat them on the back and call it a disorder. My parents would have skinned my rear.

If people with guns are dangerous, I should've been locked up and had the key melted years ago.
Fact is, an unloaded firearm is less dangerous than a common 6" nail file.....believe it.
The practice of safe and responsible gun ownership, use, and carry is one that should be taught to every child growing up in this world....maybe if everybody took hunter's education, gun safety, and was taught the proper techniques to use firearms, guns wouldn't have the stigma that is attached to them now.

Sorry about your truck.... it can be fixed.... but knowing that one of my own (a Southern Belle GA gurl) is ok makes me sleep well at night. it's rediculious the stuff that happens these days to women.....
TAEKWONDO works if the person dosen't have a weapon and you have time to streatch so you can kick above the waist w/o pulling a muscle or tendon..... like Doc i spent 4 years getting my Blackbelt. it helped my involuntary / subconcious reactions ALOT but i doubt that i'd say it would "work" when someone is determined to hurt you for money/drugs/etc.....
those words are SOOOOO true....
i've always said a dead man tells no lies....... when it comes to me my wife or my immediate family it's dominate or be dominated..... and i'm not going to be dominated...
that's my thoughts Dan. my dad and grand fathers taught me what to do and what not to do with guns. it's like a high HP vehicle. respect it and it'll respect you. i ALWAYS cary. now it's my 32 but it use to be my S&W 40cal. tonight it is both. i travel all over and sometimes i stay in areas that aren't the *safest* to be in at night. i'm not going to be one of those statistics on the news of someone that was robbed and shot to death or was carjacked and shot because i couldn't defend myself. how's TaeKwonDo going to help me if i'm in my car?
if you think legal citizens carying firearms (remember it's our second admendment right) isn't a good idea look at Australia and their crime increase since all the law abiding citizens surrendered their guns.... now all the criminals have guns and the good people can't defend their self.
remember that gunlaws are for the law abiding citizens. make them tougher and crime will go up. make them like they were 100's of years ago and i bet crime would be way down.
sorry for the hijack..... just had to get that out of my head.....

So when someone is breaking into my house while me and my family sleep I'm supposed to leave because I should stay away from them? People with guns isnt an issue. People who choose to use them to rob or harm other people is. Criminals look for YOU and not the other way around. Heaven help the individual that tries to enter my home uninvited with unlawful intentions. Like Aaron said, he will be leaving in a bag that zips all the way up.

I agree -- I'm trying to get my wife to warm up to letting me purchase a gun and store it in the house -- she's afraid of the kids finding it no matter what steps we take to prevent them from messing with it...
.. she's just paranoid and I can understand that as a mom, but I grew up with guns in our house and we never had a problem because my parents weren't afraid to show them to us any time we wanted to see them or ask questions
I think its better to have one and not need it, that need it and not have one

I had a knife held to my throat in bellingham, I just grabbed it outta the guys hands and threw it into the ocean..and just ran like hell.
I guess if it was a gun to my head I would have done the same thing.
act first then think...
If you freeze your screwed, if you react then you have a chance...Thats what my daddy taught me. Follow your survival instincts..ben I have my black belt too, took me 6 years to get it. I never had it then in bellingham when i was 14.. but i knew what to do then and i do now .......
I can drop a 6 ft 300 lb man in one quick move ,my instructer was from Russia and fought for a living. He showed me some pretty amasing moves..
im not too scared of anything except cougers maybe......besides thats what adrenaline is for.. you can have a gun, i have instincts..
Heres a prayer for you gun owners.. Four Corners to my Bed , two guns by my head ,one to shoot, one to stay and two to keep the theives away...
this is the real version of it....Four corners on my bed , four angels round my head, one to watch, one to pray and two to take my soul away..

Yeah, but after I retreat and take refuge in the bedroom and announce to the bad guy in my home that I am armed and willing to use it on them... If they turn the **** on the bedroom door, I'll be the one stepping over the body to greet the police at the front door when they finally get there.

Good lord, Bellingham....that's like Mayberry with a ghetto. j/k
I'd like to test that theory....
All kidding aside, 99.9% of responsible gun owners, including the ones on here, own the firearms for "what if" not for "because of"....it's not like the U.S. is so dangerous we need sidearms to get home from work in one piece or something.....they are (firearms) can be a fun hobby, too.
The vast majority of law enforcement never pull the trigger unless they're at the range. Sure, some do, but it's actually pretty rare even for them.
