I been thinking about painting my dash bezzel but i cant seem to figure out how to remove it with out breaking it or atleast i think thats what this is called? ? ?

Yea it just pulls off but be very careful! It could break... I used a flat head and worked my way around it.

 

so is it put on with some type of clips in the back or is it some kind of sticky tape ???

im not going to really "paint" it im going to put some kind of camo tape on it so if i crack it a little bit im not going to be worried but i dont want to BREAK it!!

so if i actually do get the bezzle to come off does it pop back on or ? ?

 

Spring loaded clips. I've had mine off many times without any damage, or tools. Just pull to remove, and push to install.

 

whoa.... on my 98 (which should be the same) there is one (or two) screws you have to remove before pulling on it. After getting the screws out then it pulls right off.

 

where the heck are they ?!?!?!?!?!

 

I will refresh my memory tomorrow in the daylight (I think there is 1 by the cig lighter). I have not had the bezel on my 01 off before.

 

the 2001 of your should just pull right off

 

2001 no screws anywhere just pops off and on with clips
