turbo install...03 cummins...gotta love tax time
well folks ive been away from here for awhile and figured i should explain myself... my last thread i was asking for opinions on selling/trading my truck. FORTUNATELY i went out way in left field an now the wife wont let me get rid of it. haha just a quick fyi for those who are familiar with my other thread. i found a job and am financially stable again. now to the good stuff. when you last heard from me my truck needed ball joints, right rear rotor/caliper, throw out bearing, and brakes. at the time i also thought my turbo was going out. (it made a kind of gurgling/sickening grinding noise every once in awhile. and was realeasing exhaust through the FRONT of the exhaust housing onto the cartridge) haha. and the build begins. i did some research an spoke with some folks at puredieselpower.com. i also priced stock remans and new stock turbos for the truck (what a joke) and quickly decided it was time for an upgrade in the charger department. enter in industrial injection phatshaft 62. after speaking with the techs at pdp.com i opted for the 14cm quickspool housing. i also upgraded the smarty revo. to TNT software. and added gauges. im very happy with the finished product and i hope you all enjoy the photos!!!

as far as pull power the adjustable wastgate is set from industrial injection at 40psi. which is fine by me as its my daily driver an i like my head gaskets haha. as far as overall performance i couldnt be happier. i was originally gonna go with the 12cm quickspool housing but after speaking with pdp.com techs they assured me the 14cm would be fine with the way my truck is set up now. an it works awesome. it spools alot faster than the stocker and at wot definately has more kick to it. i.e. when i finished it we had just got a bit of rain after running it for a bit i stood on it in 6th gear an when it lit i found the back of my truck tryin to play ketch-up with the front which placed me in an awkward, sideways motion that made me pee a little.. it sounds great too. not to loud but its noticable which is what i wanted. i hated only faintly hearin the stocker. all in all it was well worth the time an money ...
as far as the trash can goes... its an accetaline tank...i was worried about rust up here in indiana... a few brews will do that to ya hahaha

The PhatShaft 62 compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 300 - 550hp.
hope that answers your question JoeScro

well gentleman an ladies i got a better idea of just how torquey my truck really is on sunday. i had to spread some gravel at the house an opted out of the shovel route an borrowed a buddies skidsteer. while pulling it home figuring i was grossing 10-12k i broke all four rear tires loose on mildy wet roads... which was a suprise as i was not even trying at 1/2 throttle
