New Pics Of My Truck With New Toys...

welp just shredded the "new" new transmission tonight..... again.... i'm over it. truck is for sale. seriously. i'm over it all... this truck has everything new or newer. i can't afford to lose it but i have spent over $7k in the truck in the last month and have over $32k invested and it has sucked me dry into the ground i have no money to put into it and i'm out of a job and transportation... i'm suicidal at the moment this is all bullshit that i paid a shitload of money for a damn transmission thats "bulletproof" and made for sled pulling and competition drag racing and i can't get more than a few hundred miles out of it on the street not even ripping on it? what the hell?????
This truck is real powerful, i mean its a HOSS.... it has a reputation far and wide around here for basically everything.... its unstoppable in the mud, can tow anything up steep hills at 1400 rpm with 40's in overdrive, no diesel around will race me anymore and a lot of small block mustangs won't, none of the ricers will.... the first time she was ever hooked to a sled (then dyno'd at 281/760 rear wheel) she full pulled 314' and won the first pull she ever hooked at...
Now, at 428/1,081 rear wheel power i can't even keep a tranny in it with empty street driving in 2wd not ripping on it... i was told with this tranny i can do 3rd gear hole shots/burnouts/whatever, sled pulling, drag racing, whatever i wanted to do its bulletproof.... i haven't got to do ANY of those things yet and can't get more than a few hundred miles on one... i'm pulling hairs out trying to figure out what the problem is... i'm ready to give up on it and buy a POS and leave it stock like every other idiot out there......apparently its too much to ask to invest over $32k into a 12 year old 345k mile truck and count on it to get you point A. to point B. without trashing a monster tranny...

superdave, the tranny is built to the hilt, all the big upgraded parts you can get for a NV4500. 1 3/8" input shaft, upgraded shafts inside, full brass synchros, cast iron extension housing, etc. I can't afford to keep fixing it. My uncle says he knows how to keep it together i say hows that? he says put smaller tires on it and de-tune the motor or at least put lower gears in it like 4.56's... I laughed at him. The truck is exactly the way i like it right now i do not want lower gears i do not want smaller tires i do not want less power. i just want all the money i've spent on transmission and clutch stuff to actually hold up for a second so i can enjoy the beast... arrrggghhhh like i told him, if i wanted to spend over $30k on a truck and have it pretty much stock, i would have me a 03+ common rail truck....
sawmillman , i have no clue... no matter what i'd be taking a huge loss.... if your really interested, call me 812-371-6069 thats my cell call it anytime if no answer leave message with name number etc.
Thanks
Eric

The clutch is a Haisley Dual Disc Button Street/Drag clutch, the tranny was built by another guy. I talked to Mike at ATS I was told he is their NV4500 guy and he said everything should be ok the tranny sounds like its being built right and i should be just fine with those gears and tires and i should be able to do anything i want with it... he said the only thing he can think of is a bad batch of parts but seriously, two built trannies in a row both last no time at all? i don't know... i'm just really disgusted with all this crap right now i can hardly think about it...
Why would i like 4.10's? I really like my gearing where its at... its awesome for highway driving or just cruising country roads. I personally think its perfect, each gear lasts a while i don't have to shift too often. I drove a 06 6 speed with 3.73's today (i've drove them before, the 6 speeds with 4.10s really suck!!!) 6 speeds are too many gears and 3.73's with 265 or smaller tires are just plain stupid... of course they don't have the RPM range i do, i have 400-4700 rpm they have what roughly 1,000 to 3,000 or so... though i stay under 3k most of the time it seems like my power curve is much longer due to being geared up so much and my truck will still BLOW the doors off of that 6 spd 3.73 truck, as well as a stock common rail a/t 3.73 truck... I don't really want a monster speed demon but i like it to be pretty quick and i like it to be capable and it does that... i don't like to feel like i'm driving a semi like the 6 spd's with stock tires feel, but i don't expect it to drive like a race car either. Know what i mean? I've had it on all different size of tires and sure its faster on smaller tires so maybe lower gears it'd be faster with these 40's, even though it means shifting sooner, but for regular driving i like this gear/tire combo alot, and its a good excuse to save the money. A buddy of mine runs the exact same tires on his 500+ hp 12V with NV4500 and 4.56's and it seems geared a bit low, he now has twins on his truck and he says i could easily blow his doors off because he's geared too low and runs out of gear fast... much like i complain about the new 6 spds....
