Thanks guys... my uncle just called a bit ago to tell me he found a pic of my truck in the burnout competition at Scheid Diesel Extravaganza 2007 in Terre Haute, IN on Full Pull Magazine's website...

Here's the link to the entire slideshow of all the activities/vehicles at the dragstrip Sunday at Scheid's:
http://fullpull.com/2007/Scheid.4.07/

The purple Ford Ranger (early 90's with an 07 front clip, lifted on 33" boggers, has a twin'd, nos'd 4B pushin over 600hp) belongs to and was built by the guy who built my new transmission (now a boat anchor 400 miles later) tomorrow i'm dropping it back off to him (just got done pulling it out tonight, again!) we will see if he will make it right or not. His Ranger is featured in the latest issue of Diesel World Magazine, they did a photoshoot of it at Scheid's Extravaganza in August...

I'm good like that!!!!! LOL..... Its actually not a 5" suspension kit, its 2" coil spacers on stock coils with ProComp ES9000 gas shocks for 2" lift, and 3" body lift modified for the diesel... which is a total/equivalent of 5" but a friend has a truck like mine with 5" skyjacker kit on and runs 37" Swamper SSR's and sits pretty close to the same height so i kinda think the 5" kits may give you slightly more clearance. Also I trimmed my front fenders a bit (hey, they were rusty anyway)... I like my lift better than suspension lift kits because I keep my frame relatively low, which keeps the hitch low, stock driveline angle in rear, stock heavy duty 3500 springs and overloads in rear, no extra block spacers, i love the body lift, MUCH easier to work on stuff underneath, and also with stock springs front and rear this thing handles WAY better than my friend's 2500 cummins with 5" suspension lift, it has a lot of body roll and mine handles like a stock one but except the tire difference... but body roll is similar and it handles real well for what it is. And, this version of lifting it is also alot cheaper to do. You can get away with more stock parts for steering/suspension/brake lines/etc. which is alot better when something breaks its easy to find what you need locally at a junkyard/dealer than ordering through your lift kit company.. I think mine hauls heavy loads better than the one with the lift kit too...

But thats my take on it if ya wanted a side-by-side comparison of 5" suspension lift vs. 5" lift via coil spacers and body lift. And like i said a little fender trimming goes a long way ....

New pics, with new super bright CCFL projector headlights (i'll get a daytime shot later) and all 4 new tires on, balanced with 6 oz. bags of Equal (works alright, better than nothing).... I had to make myself drill a big ol hole in each headlight to install my hideaway strobes and i had a set of blue bulbs in the toolbox so i went ahead and put them in the high beam side of the lights, and swapped out the amber turn bulbs for clear ones. i'm very happy with these lights, they're pretty doggone sweet!!! They look killer...
and, yea the transmission is back together again haha... we'll see how this one lasts...

I'm goin to replace the bad bulbs in 4 of the 5 cab lights haha and put toolbox back on after i clean out the bed... and mount some floodlights on the back somewhere so i can see to back up at night... (one of the great things about 5% tint - can't see in in daytime, can't see out at night!)
I'm planning on two things happening this weekend:
Gettin 'er muddy and cleanin her up and gettin 'er shined up real purty!!! pics of all and maybe a muddy video too!!!

This is just with the parking lights only on (turns on park lights and the halo rings). The turn signals use the factory bulbs and also has an LED strip at the bottom under the regular bulbs that blink to correspond with the turn signals.

Sweet truck! Live with your parents and get all you can done to it now. Once you're in my boat (2 kids and a wife) you won't have ANY MONEY to spend on the truck. Wouldn't trade the family for all the parts I could get for my truck.

Jared- Thats the plan ...

they're a good bit brighter, but its kinda hard to say because with the truck sitting taller and me being spoiled by the Hella's, no headlight seems good enough... but my old factory ones were cracked and busted and faded and discolored so bad they seriously didn't do much more than parking lights.... but again, being higher off the ground as they are, I need more of a flood pattern to do much good, and I use the Hella's as high beams pretty much and have them adjusted just right where I usually get away with using them all the time without people flashing theirs at me, but on hills and curves it will hit them just right so i sometimes have to flick them off.. but yes the projectors are much brighter than stock you can definately tell...

I wound up putting the plow back on because i didn't get it sold and still haven't found a job, and we got some winter weather saturday so she was lookin pretty crappy from the nasty road crud but i took and gave her a good well earned well deserved bath today despite the 20 degree temps she looks alot better maybe i will get a good pic or two tomorrow or at least soon.... and i love these mirrors!!! All 4 of the new tires are on, balanced with Equal (6 oz. packets) and aren't too rough.. wish they could be a little smoother in the 45-60 mph range but they're not too bad. Still need to get it aligned just to double check and make sure the new tires get babied. These tires are freaking awesome in snow/ice! Last winter i had 35x12.50 BFG M/T's and was happy with them but the Iroks are even better! I get better traction and have alot more power (bout 170hp more) than last winter so ya can't beat that!!! This thing is VERY sure-footed and at home on snowy/icy roads.. The 'new' new transmission is doing fine so far so good and the Haisley double disc button clutch is great, rough take-offs with 40's and 3.55 gears but thats to be expected, its a mean clutch though.
