Default Homemade ramair scoop

I like the idea of Banks super scoop, but dont have the money to buy a whole new intake system so i thought i'd make one. Cost me about $30 got the parts from Home Depot. Took me about 15 minutes to trim and install. It would be alot eaiser on a GMC bumper has round light buckets, may also work on a Dodge but I don'd have one to play with, let me know if you make one or have a better design. Don't know if it'll do anything for my truck but I had fun making it.

Looks to me like a good place to gather lots of debris and H2O when it's raining. But I like your style as far as making it yourself.

I see problems with that in the future. Possibly put some metal mesh on the end. And something to keep mud and water from getting in and possibly causing some issues. Other than that, very creative. Looks good!

Then there's that one day it does rain, or you're required to go through some mud or water and you're not prepared. :P

when you do this you need to have someone power brake it and get about 15-20+psi boost built up then hit it with the hose....gotta make sure you have some good flow to pull the water all the way up to the filter.....you are running a filter right?

yes i'm running a filter. my set up isen't that good to suck water up 2' but if i really want to get my filter wet i'll just hook up our 3" trash pump up to it. hahaha
