Default Bombed Shifter Stick

I didn't really like my double bend shifter stick in my 85 F-250 so I made my own straight stick. Its a work in progress since I made it a bit long so I have to cut a couple inches out and paint it still. Let me know what you guys think. And should I paint it blue to match the interior or black, or some other color?

Not my best welds, but they'll do for this.

Can you still hit all the gears ok? I personally like the curvy shift arms, but you have to drive the truck so your own comfort/style comes first. I'd probably paint it black.

Yep, I tested out the angles before I actually did it and they all work. At first it was too long and I'd hit my leg in 2nd but I shortened it up and it works great. Another reason for doing this was I thought the curvy stick was a bit short for me. I got it just right now. I wish I had a way to taper the pipe like on the factory sticks but just couldn't figure out a way with the tools available. Thanks for the input!

i like my custom curvy shaft. since mine is out of a 78 f250, it was way off. slamed dash in low hole, and hit seat in reverse. little tweak here, shove there and works well now.

Well, I got it cut down to size and painted. I took about 1.5" off the end and painted it flat black. I would've done gloss but flat black is all I had laying around.
