Well I've been MIA from the site pretty much since I got home from Iraq. Now I'm lving the unemployed, bored, drunk life so I have a bit of time on my hands. Since I got back the 1st gen has gotten new tires, wheel spacers, bucket seats, Herculiner on the winch bumper, home-made intake and BHAF, and now starring a blown rear end because someone decided to swap out the D70 for a D60 and it went kaboom. It's also had a 8" miter on it but I took it off after a few months and went back to the old 4" exhaust.
The weekend I got back was a busy one:

And now for the carnage. This is why a Dana 60 does not belong in the rear of a diesel pickup. Notice all the shavings on the magnet.

OUCH!!! thats gonna leave a mark.

Hey thank you from the very bottom of my heart and soul for your service to our country and for allowing my family and myself to sleep at night with the knowledge of being safe because you and people like you made the choice to defend us and our freedoms!

Yeah I was mad when it blew, especially since I was supposed to be clearing as it was supposed to be my last day in the Army, but I was FURIOUS when the D70 gears came in and I looked at the old gears and noticed the difference and that it was indeed a D60. I don't know who decided to DOWNGRADE the axle on a lifted truck with 37" tires.

Thanks a lot. I spent 6 years a grunt, half of that in Iraq. I'm pretty glad to be out because I could only take so much of some of the people I had to work with. I enjoyed my job despite the risk but in the end I couldn't stand 90% of the people I worked with because of big egos and ignorance. I am proud to be a vet and to have dedicated 6+ years of my life to this country, despite how I feel about thew government.

I was 11B as well. Most of my time I was a gunner on Bradleys, Humvees, and the new MRAP monstrosities.

Great looking 1st Gen! And my thanks to you as well. I wanted to join right out of HS but I had already blown out both of my knees. The recruiter kindly told me I should go to college instead. It still bothers me that I didn't get the chance to serve... Anyway, thank you again and I'm glad your home safe!
