Project Rusty Revival (56k no way!)

Well, I ordered some 3003 aluminum sheet to make my door panels out of, which will get a high polish and a coat of clear, and I ordered 7 yards of black tweed fabric to start work on my headliner, and some other things
These other things include parts for the door panel, and arm rests. As much of the interior as possible is going to be custom made out of 3003 aluminum (except the dash) or covered in black tweed. I think its going to look great when I get done with it, and its gonna be hella fun in the process.
The back is still holding me up, but these are things I can do while sitting in a chair, and that don't require lifting. I get my tires tomorrow, and will get them mounted and balanced. IDK when I will get those on, cuz I can't lift, haha.
Anywho... I am still making progress, though its very slow progress.

Well, I got my tires mounted to my wheels yesterday, and my 3003 aluminum sheet arrived this morning. I got the whole door panel drawn out, and basically cut out now. The only thing holding me back on that are the small portions of the door that protrude. I either have to cut them out, or I need to figure out how to form the door panel around it.
Here are the pics of my wheels with tires on em:

Thats all for today I think. If I get the door panel finished, I will take some pics of it, but I am taking it easy on the back, so I prolly won't get too far on it. Still waiting for my material for the headliner and the door panel inserts, though.

just use plane jane out of the tap water, hot works a little better, with a good stiff scrub brush. run over it once to get it good and wet, wait a min and then scrub and rinse. it will take most all of it off, but like i said make sure you get it off before it drys cause then you gotta use a cleaner and some elbow grease to get it off then, and its a PITA. after you get them on the truck, hit um up with some deep spray on tire shine and they will look awsome. i just did mine yesterday and they turned out perty good. FYI if you use tire shine, don't get the kind that you have to use an aplicator, its a bitch to get inbetween those ***** on the sidewalls, use the spray can type or the spray bottle type, both are eqauly the same.

also use the tire shine after you put them on the truck, it gets messy to handle after that.

Yeah, I have the kind with the applicator for my car and absolutely despise it. I think its just sitting on the shelf... if it didn't freeze and break over the winter... no big loss if it did.

Well, got a little more worked on the door panels:

They are coming out very well thus far, the only thing is there are a couple of raised portions on the door, and I am trying to warp the door panel to allow it go go around those bumps. I think its workin out well, I hope they don't end up getting all wavy. Some waves, I think, are acceptable and won't look bad.
We'll see how it turns out!
