You get what you pay for..and you can do a budget paint job on the weekend in your clean garage..that duplicolor lacquer based paint isnt that bad for what it is..shake and spray..nothing to mix or worry about..but prep is one of the biggest things..that pretty much determines the paint job..for a "hard" showroom shine finish, you can color sand and buff the clear when you're all said and done..i use a 800 grit on a DA at work..a lot of people frown upon this but it works..You must know what you are doing!! Trust me!! My boss put a lot of time into teaching me these techniques..but well worth it in the end..follow 800 with 1200 on DA then 2000 wet and buff and polish..if u go this route you are looking for 3-4 good coats of clear..You burn, you're screwed..
