My Kid Sold His Pride And Joy
I never thought I'd see the day, but my kid called me today for Fathers Day and broke the news to me that he has parted out his drag car and sold it all. He spent 3 years building this thing from scratch. It was a just barely street legal 2000 WS6 Trans Am. Says he's done with Modded High Performance and is selling this to buy a stock Vette. At 20 years old I wanna see how long it stays stock. I just laughed at him. These pictures are at Gateway International in St Louis, before we hauled it over to his school.

He's over in Lima Ohio at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Workin on a degree in business but the real program he is in is Automotive Diesel. He started gettin the itch for my truck at around 12 years old and started sniffin out these sites and studyin up on it. By the time he was 14 he was just tellin me when he needed the credit card to order somthin for it. I just stepped back and handed him tools at that point, he already knew more than I did.
Between Quarter Midgets, Bikes, RC trucks and Drag Cars he's been racin somethin all his life. And when he does somthin he's a believer in doin it all the way.

His biggest problem with these cars is that as much as he loves the race, he loves building them even more. Everytime he got this car put together, he would run a few races and figure out what he wanted to do next. Then he'd strip it back down to the bare frame and start over. He'd deny it to his dyin breath but it's been a pattern every since he started workin on his own stuff. He's always wantin me to buy another junk cummins engine so he can build it and replace the one I have, only problem is there aint nothin wrong with the one I have. In his world he can always build it better then it is.
