Default my new intake..what do you think

just did this, i didnt remove the rest of the original intake box yet, its helping to support the new filter right now, until i figure out how to make a bracket or something to support it.(any ideas??) oh and does all of this look right? i test drove it, no problems or nothing, alot more whistle from the turbo, sounds pretty cool.

and this sensor thing..what is it for and how important is it?

i think this might be a Air Temp sensor, has little effect...

what happens if you disconnect it and start up ?

does your engine act up or does it run smooth ?

Yeah I bet it a ambiant air temp senser. tells the engine what temp air its pulling in. I would leave it hooked up and just tuck it up somewere.

it's call the air intake temp sensor. I'm not sure I would unplug it.... might throw a code or a soft code. If you want to pull the air box out, just zip tie it to the intake tube. I'm sure the temp it's reading outside the tube isn't much different than inside...
